About FoSTA-Health

FoSTA-Health takes an interdisciplinary and systems approach evaluating the medium and long-term implications of food system change in southern Africa. The project combines stakeholder engagement and grounded research in case study contexts in Malawi, South Africa, Tanzania and Zambia, with an integrated modelling framework, to explore associated changes in animal, human and environmental health.

Dr. Mugisha Rweyemamu has a PhD in Economics, specializing in Econometrics, Industrial and Development economics. He is a Research Fellow at the Economic and Social Research Foundation, Tanzania, in Strategic Research and Publication Department.

Vivian Kazi is a senior researcher and a Head of Strategic Research and Publications at ESRF. She has a background in Statistics, trade and policy analysis. She has over 15 years of experience in policy research and has been working on agriculture sector, trade and finance with the Government and non-Government policy actors in Tanzania and other countries.
