The Civil Society Agriculture Network (CISANET) is a grouping of civil society organizations established in 2001 to facilitate the engagement of CSOs and Government over policy issues affecting the agriculture sector. CSANET’s membership comprises local and international non-governmental organizations (NGOs), farmer organisations, and interested individuals.

Edwin Munthali is a seasoned Agriculture and Applied Economist, specializing in Agriculture Policy Analysis. I am currently working for the Civil Society Agriculture Network,as a Monitoring and Evaluation specialist, with a specific focus on Food and Nutrition Security. I am a Level 1 IPC analyst with over five years of experience in the NGO sector.

Tamala Mataka holds a master degree in Agribusiness and International Rural Development and a post graduate diploma in Commerce from Lincoln University, New Zealand & Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Economics from Bunda College of Agriculture. A seasoned program specialist with experience in program development and design, fundraising and donor liaison, long term, medium term and short term program planning and implementation, monitoring and evaluation, stakeholder management, networking and profiling. Experienced in reporting for donors, institutions and the board as well as synthesizing reports. Competent in managing Agriculture & Food and nutrition Security projects. Good research and policy advocacy skills. Vast knowledge in designing and implementing surveys, field data collection coordination and data analysis and monitoring. Excellent teamwork, good communication and, leadership skills.

 

Thokozani Guta holds a Masters in Rural Development and Management from China Agriculture University (CAU). As a policy advocate, the doctoral degree program in Theoretical Economics (National Development) at Peking University provides Thokozani with a unique opportunity to grasp crucial aspects of policy analysis and design as well as suggest an alternative thought process to achieve tangible outcomes. Among others, the New Structural Economics and Policy Designs and Development Theory and Policy courses provide a strong understanding and practical guidance in critical policy analysis and design suited for the Malawian context.
